Invitation to tender for Grounds Maintenance Contracts

We are inviting tenders in relation to continuing grounds maintenance works across the village in South Cambridgeshire.

Tenders must be submitted using the tender documents provided (either digitally or by hand). Other forms of pricing will not be considered.

Please submit the tender in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the relevant reference number and send it to the Parish Clerk at Melbourn Community Hub, 30 High Street, Melbourn, SG8 6DZ on or before 4pm on Tuesday, 16 April 2024.

Please note that the Parish Council is not obliged to accept the lowest tender.

LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the tenderer to study the specification and requirements before submitting the tender.

The Cambridgeshire Holiday Activities and Food Programme

The Cambridgeshire Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme offers free holiday scheme places.
The next HAF Programme will run during the Easter school holidays between 2 April to 12 April 2024. Registered holiday schemes will offer up to 16 hours of free attendance for eligible children and young people. A range of fun experiences, a healthy meal and snacks will be offered.

Do you know someone who has gone ‘above and beyond’ for the village? Perhaps they are tirelessly helping neighbours, volunteering time for a community group or just being an all-round good egg!

This is your opportunity to recognise their efforts. Categories for entry are:

The future is bright!

Anyone under 18 years of age who has supported the community, worked towards a personal goal or has demonstratable plans for the future of the village.

All-round good egg!

Celebrating that villager who stands out from the crowd for being a true asset to the village and those around them. The neighbour that you couldn’t live without, the resident that looks after the street. Anyone you think deserves to be noticed.

Community Superstars

This could be an individual, group or organisation that has improved the environment, community or social wellbeing within the village.

All you need to do is send your nomination to the Parish Office including; the category, the name of the person or group and a few words about why you feel they deserve to be recognised by Monday 29 April 2024.
